Albir

El Albir is one of the towns located in the Marina Baja region in the province of Alicante. It does not stand out for its large size but it offers all the necessary comforts for a comfortable day to day living; Schools, sports centers, supermarkets, as well as offering the possibility of enjoying gastronomic leisure with its large variety of bars and restaurants. El Albir beach stretches for 500 meters bordering the cliffs of the Sierra Helada, where there are numerous natural coves. As it is located away from the ports, this marine area has important and interesting flora and fauna, which has been awarded the Blue Flag by the Environmental Education Foundation. It is a very international area since it houses an important part of the Costa Blanca tourism, as well as the resident foreign population, estimated at 53% of the total population of El Albir.
